1. Who we are
Cinepiso is an online service that turns written stories into AI-generated short films told in episodes. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use Cinepiso, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.
2. Data we collect
Account data: your email address and password (stored only as a secure hash) when you sign up, or your Google account basics if you sign in with Google. Content data: the story prompts, summaries, episode prompts, style choices and reference photos you upload, and the videos generated from them. Payment data: purchases are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details, only your purchase history, plan and credit balance. Usage data: basic technical logs such as sign-in times and error reports that help us keep the service running.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to create and maintain your account, generate the films and episodes you request, process payments and manage your credits and subscription, refund credits automatically when a render fails, and to keep the service secure and fix problems. We do not sell your personal data and we do not use your stories or videos to advertise to you.
4. AI processing
Your prompts, story summaries and reference photos are sent to AI models to plan episodes and generate video. These providers process the content solely to produce your film. Do not upload reference photos of other people without their permission, and avoid including sensitive personal information in your prompts.
5. Third-party services
We rely on a small number of processors to run Cinepiso: Stripe for payments, Google for optional sign-in, AI model providers for story planning and video generation, and our hosting and database infrastructure. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us.
6. Storage and retention
Your films, episodes and reference photos are stored privately and are only accessible to you through signed, expiring links. We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your films, photos and personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep by law (such as payment invoices).
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the EU/EEA and UK under GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Cookies
We use only essential cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
9. Children
Cinepiso is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA), and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
